Quality Education

Interactive classroom instruction and hands-on "wet labs" are part of the daily schedule. Lecture portions of the programs are presented in hotel conference room facilities in neighboring Gainesville, Florida. Labs are conducted at the Chi Institute's 40-acre farm in Reddick, conveniently located in the heart of Florida's horse country in north Marion County.

A major benefit of studying TCVM at the Chi Institute is the opportunity to get free consultations

with Dr. Xie and other instructors. Students will begin to apply the concepts learned in class to their own patients and the consultation is an invaluable learning tool to help build confidence and expertise. In addition to Dr. Xie, there are more than 20 speakers and instructors for the TCVM training courses at the Chi Institute. Some important faculty members include the following:

1) Bruce Ferguson, DVM, MS, a certified veterinary acupuncturist and Chinese veterinary herbalist who maintains a 100% holistic practice for small and exotic animals. Bruce edited Dr. Xie's newest TCVM book and is in the process of helping write a new book. He has traveled to China as a speaker and participant and has helped develop a course at the Chi Institute in Tui Na (Chinese body work).
2) Roger Clemmons, DVM, Ph.D, Associate Professor of neurology and neurosurgery at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of FL.
3) Himani Das, DVM, who is certified in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic, and practices holistic veterinary medicine for both horses and small animals.

Guest speakers for various classes include some of the most respected names in the field, including Allen Schoen, DVM, MS; Peggy Fleming, DVM, MS; Cheryl Schwartz, DVM; Joyce Harman, DVM; and Connie Dinatale, DVM; as well as noted veterinarians and speakers from China.

All programs have been approved for C.E. by the State and Race and endorsed by the China National Society of TCVM, China, and China Southwest Agricultural University. More than 650 veterinarians have graduated from the Chi Institute.
